Default Getting upper control arms done, what else?

I’ve read hours and hours of information on this forum about the control arms but seem to have difficulty finding this information.

Should I have anything else suspension related done while the mechanic is down there? Tie-rod ends, stabilizer bars, anything?? I was told the bushings in the upper control arms are shot. It only has 75,000 miles and I want to keep this until 300,000. Wanting that new suspension feel, what else do you wonderful little gurus recommend?

Thanks in advance! 🙏

If you have RWD, I’d replace all of them. You can get an entire set of arms/bushings at a reasonable price. If you have AWD, I’d do both uppers on the side that’s bad.

not saying your wrong, there are a lot of cheaper control arm sets that you can buy, but which ones are quality?

I just did mine a few months ago and decided to swap in high quality bushings rather then replace the whole arms with lower quality ones

WILLI, please tell us what brand of bushings did you use and who buy from, you did not replace the arms but just pressed in new bushings?

I have115k on my 07 and all suspension components are original, I am going nuts trying to figure what and from whom to replace everything with, help!

Case in point.....what else (other than control arms) should I get replaced?

Hey man, I was in the same boat, months of research leading me in a circle because every available aftermarket control arm has mixed reviews.

Also if you look closely you will see that some of the name brand control arms, just slapped their name on the cheap Chinese ebay ones u can get from china , I think this is common place in the automotive market.

the bushings I went with were called PSB bushings (problem solving bushings ) and they can be purchased from "Armstrong bushings" they are out of California I think

They are urethane bushings designed for road use, not track, so they are comparable to an OEM feel with much more durability

is this the kit you purchased?

I don’t have the capability to do this myself so how many labor hours would a shop charge me for this?
