Any suggestions for what I could fit here in NZ.
According to those who have fixed their squeal, it was due to replacing them with ceramic brakes. There are some threads here so maybe use the key words ceramic brakes and hopefully you'll find some good information. Good luck.

I don’t know how you put up with it for that long bro, I ended up returning my car back to Carmax. Luckily the dealer had a 7 day return no questions asked policy.

Needs new brake pads all around. Mine squeaked so bad it was embarrassing. Luckily I was able to get the TSB so I didn't have to pay for the brake job. As I recall they did a complete brake job, including turning (machining) the rotors.

Thank you, will have a further look around on the forum and then see what I can find on the market here.

I did consider returning her when I first got it, but such a great car to drive I figured I’d get around to sorting it at some point!

I'm on my 2nd set of Powerstop Z23 pads, and I have no squeal, & brake dust is significantly reduced compared to OEM.

Resurrecting this thread for anyone looking into new brake pads with less/zero noise. Spent time researching all the threads. The solutions below are what I have done previously and just did recently to get rid of the squealing, brake noise, etc.
Solution 1: If you are able to get the TSB done, do it. It worked flawlessly. When it came time to replace brakes again, same part numbers were used and had zero noise. (Part #04465-0W200). Parts was about $344.
Solution 2: Power Stop Z23-1440 Brake Pad Kit. Parts around $44.00 compared to OEM at $344. Less grabby, but still performs exceptionally well in my opinion. No noise so far. But I will report back if anything comes up. Significantly less brake dust vs. the OEMs. Just to have less dust alone is reason for me to stick with the Power Stops especially with the F Sport wheels having 20 spokes.

Feel free to DM me if you have any questions, getting the squealing noise removed was a significant weight off my shoulders!

I've been on the Powerstop Z23s for years...they deliver and have met expectations.

I’m glad TSB worked for you. Unfortunately, it didn’t for me when I had it done about 7 yrs back.

As I posted earlier, Z23s have worked flawless for my Fsport. I have R1 concepts slotted drilled rotors & can stop on a dime. They look pretty cool too!

must be these? How are they holding up? I'm at 109K miles, will need to replace the factory rotors soon, I think my original owner replaced them at 60K-ish during the TSB.

yup. Those are my rotors! They’re solid for the past couple yrs.

I also had them on my previous car w/ brembo brakes and they lasted over 4 yrs. I sold my car with them still on too.

mind you, I’m easy on my cars & don’t brake hard unless necessary.
