I changed all driver side weatherstrip . Overtime the rubber becomes flat. The door opening sound and feeling definitely more rigid . It feels like a new car.

303 on all weather striping, removed engine covers to inspect serpentine belt , air filters and fluids.
Cleaned engine bay.
Replaced worn engine cover retainers.

Stopped by dealer and did some front end comparisons

Anyone have thoughts which front end they like better?

funny story on the way driving down road passenger window open at a light i hear a guy yelling,
He is a guy young kid 25 in a black new civic, which is a great everyday car for the money
i didn't pay attention he kept trying to get attention, window open he' wouldn't stop staring at my car and giving me thumbs up

for a 9 year old car pretty impressive, sat in the 2019 ls500 at dealer think my back seat is more comfortable to hang in more spacious.

Got a lot of things done:

Fixed the rear trunk garnish and escape handles I damaged when replacing the trunk switch and motor
Converted my Homelink to work only with the key in the "ON" position (also affects the map light function but I'm willing to accept the annoyance over the risk of a burglar getting in my garage)
Installed a dashcam (went with a Street Guardian SGGCX2PRO+ 128GB with hardwire kit)
Replaced the battery (bad cell; looked pretty old)

Tomorrow she's going to Lexus for the interior inspection and maybe I'll replace the spark plug tube gaskets.

Had my slightly hazy headlights professionally restored/wet-sanded. Turned out pretty nice, and didn't cost very much! I love my 2010 LS600hL!

Front end on the pre 2013 looks way better in my opinion, the whole car looks better to me. I did ask if there were aftermarket front grills that made the 2013+ look better because that is likely what I will get next and some showed pictures of them painted body color along with the black piece in the center and it looked much better.

I like them both, but prefer the 13-17 car. Had the pre refresh LS been what was available I would have gotten something else. Just looks from another era.

steve you do it at dealer, or your trusted garage,

any thoughts of cutting vs replacing rotors obviously replacing is best if budget unlimited but your thoughts always appreciated

didn't realize it but the whole shape of the hood of the 13 plus is different shape contoured.

i heard it was a crazy amount of part differences they changed in the thousands with the refreshed cars

My trusted garage. The dealer is way too expensive for this sort of thing (this would have been $800+ at the dealer, I paid slightly more than the dealer wanted just to resurface the rotors to replace the pads AND the rotors at this shop. I also used better than OEM pads and rotors.

Resurfacing the rotors isn't worth it. These Centric premium rotors are much better than stock and only cost $58 each. Not even worth the labor to resurface a rotor when a new one is $58.
