Hi all, I've recently found a thin layer of plastic coating peeling off my front emblem (PCS) badge. The active cruise control/PCS systems still work, but it doesn't look great.
I touched it the other day to see what was going on, and and another thin layer of plastic peeled off.
Is there anything I can do, to restore looks, without replacing?

I think installing a clear film should protect from further damage . To replace they cost 250 $ to source from Japan.
You have no idea what the method is that they use for said frequencies. They likely have programmed it with a specific wavelength amplitude that returns an expected value, and it's possible that your PPF can disrupt these given values and may change how the radar cruise functions.
Nice speculation.
I speculate you are incorrect.
Any coating would not affect radio frequency - would only affect a light wavelength if it was IR based, like the remote on a TV.
When my PCS emblem got foggy I had it sanded down (along with headlights) and had Xpel film applied. Works perfectly and still looks brand new 5 years later.

you did the same with headlights and put film on , no yellowing after so long?
