Default window glass folds outside rubber seal

Mine is 2011 LS460, so I don’t have the typical window noise issue of the earlier models, but my side window glass folds / warp a portion of the outside rubber window seal when I roll up the window. Is there any good solution to fix the issue?

Will most likely have to replace the window seal

Does silicone lubricant help? Is it because the front double glass is too thick and leave little gap for rubber seal or because the glass doesn’t raise up to the proper position? The issue happened on the front passenger side first one year ago. Now it happened on the front driver side too.

Most likely the strip is worn. Straighten it out with the window down and see if it takes the original shape.

Well labour here is cheap enough I just need to locate the part number on lexuspartsnow.com which is a pain.
define : not a simple plug and play I assume various parts of the door has to be removed.. is that what you are referring to ?

Had this happen to me, it wasn't covered under CPO but Lexus did it to me as a courtesy since the car was only a month old to me. i think the bill came out to 700 dollars for 1 window

$700 per window is too much....

I find that only happened to thick glass, My rear single glass is fine. Also the thin glass on my Rx350 never cause any issue.

It's the front window track - about $100-$150 for the part but removing it involves drilling out rivets and installing the new one involves riveting everything back into place. Hence the labor charge.

look up window run on lexusparts and you should be able to find what your looking for looks to be around ~100 dollars for the part.

just Ordered Honda 08798-9013 Silicone Grease from ebay and will give it a try.

Just apply inside the rubber seal?
