I have had a hard pull to the right now for some time and i cant figure out why. I was told by a shop that could not stop the pull after an alignment that I needed new tires. I figured that the old control arms probably wore a pattern into the existing tires.
I replaced the tires, re-checked alignment, and the problem came back after rotating the tires front to back from an oil change 5K later. I rotated the front tires L/R and still have a pull to the right. Newer rotors and pads (15K), control arms upper/lower replaced 20K ago. Air pressure ok. No curb or pot hole hits.
Verified the pull by driving the same road with a different vehicle.
What should I look for next? New alignment shop? Dragging brakes?
I had a hard pull to the right on my car also. Tried alignment and rotations. Discovered a badly damaged CV boot and CV axle on that side. I'm waiting on a replacement CV axle but I think that is my issue.
Thanks all for the replies. I went to a shop with a hunter and found the alignment to be out. They realigned the car however i still pull to the right. I can cross the lines in my lane in about 5-10 seconds at 50 mph.
They tired a few other things but no immediate problems found regarding tire wear, suspension, or brakes. Didnt know RWD had CV but will check . Still looking for the cause.
