Sup fellas new to the forums. So I just bought a 2015 ls460. It has the lowering module for the air suspension
with 22” vip modulars with 265/30/22 rears and 235/30/22 in front. The ride quality is terrible even in sport + mode. It’s so bouncy and when it hits pot holes it’s like the car is gonna fall apart. This is my first time on 22” so is that the problem? Should I just go back to stock wheels? How are yal on 22” keeping the ride quality good? Thanks in advanced
You have less than 3” of sidewall, yes, they are going to ride horribly. They are super cool, but the price is a supper harsh ride.. just look at the pic you posted. It looks like the wheel (rim) is on the road.
LOL, the answer is totally obvious. Its the enormous wheels and rubber band tires. My guess is you're also driving it around at lower than stock ride height which will hurt the ride even more.
Its like somebody walking up with a bone protruding from his leg and asking why his leg hurts.
My car rides terrible on the stock 18s as well. There's no comparison between it and the buttery smooth ride of my old 96 with the 16" rims.
My air suspension is also shot, so..

That would be because of your shot air suspension lol. Mine rides every bit as well as my 98 on 16s. I have 19s too.
Thanks everyone for your opinions. As I mentioned this my first time w ls on 22” and I was hoping maybe there was a solution for it. Seems there isn’t so I’ll go back to stock. The Mercedes s class was able to go on larger wheels without sacrificing quality so I thought the ls might also. Thanks again to everyone that contributed. Be safe
Thanks for the warm welcome loser. No one has time for jokes or your lame responses. Troll elsewhere. As for everyone else thanks for your help.
Ditch the 22's and get 24's so you can be really cool with your flagship LS that had a MSRP of over 75K when first sold. I think the true loser is obvious to everyone.
You’re forgetting a very simple, yet important fact: Mercedes designed their suspension to work with those wheels. They had engineers road testing those cars and fine-tuning the suspension to work around that.
Lexus, on the other hand, had their cars tuned to work with 18 or 19” wheels and thicker tires.
Thanks for the response. I didn’t know that. See this is what forums are for. Information. Thanks agian
You can pretty much ignore every post above mine. Some of these clowns love targeting big wheels and offering nothing but negativity But up front I would not run anything over 21” on this car...
Ya the answer is obvious. It’s not just the tires and rims size.
All these amateurs see the big faces on those 22s and want to blame them.
The answer is in your first paragraph. You have the lowering module. Data Systems. It’s trash replace it with a proper suspension set up. It rides like shhit because the air bags are deflated to get the lowered ride height.
moderators- do you do any work in this subsection ??

Thanks brother for your opinion it makes sense. I will look into suspension options. I thought the module would be better by not messing with the stock. I think I’m going to just put stock wheels back on. Thanks again. Be safe
