So there is a guy local to me selling wheels and tires off a 2012 LS. I am thinking of grabbing them and have a few questions. I am assuming the swap will have no fitment issues but would like confirmation before making the investment and 1 hour drive. Also, he says they come with the tpms sensors. Do I have to do anything after doing the wheel swap to have them communicate with my car?
You will have to have the sensors paired with the car. Your local tire shop should have the equipment to do that. Unless you have the carista app and know the id's for each sensor then you could swap the id's via the app or techstream
I'd be interested in your assessment of the ride quality change between the 18 inch versus the 19 inch wheels. If you do go ahead with the purchase, would you mind posting about this issue?

I went through a similar change on my 2008 LS460L RWD. I went from 18" factory to 19" factory 20 spoke wheel (2010-2012). In my case, the replacement wheels did not have the TPMS sensors, so I had the tire shop remove the TPMS sensors from my old wheels and install them.
In terms of the ride quality - the ride did become just slightly bumpier/rougher but I barely noticed it. My speedometer is slight off reading faster than actual.

No. You just have to have them paired. It should cost less than $60 for all four. Don’t forget to try to get the spare
dealer said $350 minimum to pair them and could not guarantee they could be paired? It would be cheaper to just have the tpms sensors taken out of my set and installed in the new set at a tire shop for $100
So the good news is I put the new wheels on and my car picked up the sensors so no need for dealer or tire place to do anything. Not a huge fan of chrome wheels but I think with the factory chrome accents on the car the silver coated wheels just didnt go.
If you don't mind my asking, what did you have to pay for the chrome 19"s? I have the silver 19s, but I never saw where they were a factory option for the 2008 anyways. Wouldn't mind picking a set of the chromes up, but for less than an arm and leg.

BEFORE and AFTER
The 19's definitely freshens up the look! I have the non chrome ones. Chrome is a bit dated now on cars. I only see chrome on suvs and trucks and most of the time it is just a plastic chrome wheel cover. You will probably now realize that you might need new shock soon now with the 19s.
Upgrade the shocks to KYB gas a-just ones and you'll get back the 18inch wheel comfort feel.
