rubber weather stripping at the very edge of the doors coming off

hi guys how is this stuff attached at the factory just by friction or is there some kind of glue used, some parts are coming off, so I am thinking of either replacing it or reattaching it for now.

Pics would be nice but the weather strips should be attached with clips. Usually there are holes in the the rubber that attach to clips on the body of the car.
