Default 08 LS 460 squeaking

Do this now and at every other oil change. You can use a sprayer to spray it into the spray bottle if you don't have a siphon. It will take a few minutes. Get a couple of FRESH sealed bottles of brake fluid and use it all. If you have a good amount left in the bottle, wait a week till the fluid cycles thru and drain a little more and add in the remaining fluid in the bottle. Also I bought a new brake fluid reservoir cap oem Part number 47230-11010. The old one did not feel like it was sealing out air. The new one went on much tighter and I felt a little with brake performance. (might be in my head). After doing this, I could not get the noise to return no matter how hard I slammed on the brakes.
For you guys with the 10 year warranty, just take it to the dealership. Hopefully they'll just throw in a new actuator for you. It's disappointing that 2013+ are starting to show this "problem." If I every revisit getting a 2013+ Ls460 I'll probably have to get one with actuator already replaced.
Okay. I will try these steps and I really appreciate it.

Will this be helpful for 08 LS 460?

It is only for 10 years from 1st date of use (up to 150K miles) and I am guessing yours is way past that.

They drove it, heard the noise, and replaced it. No drama.

I had them look at it a while back but they couldn’t replicate it. It had to get worse before they could
reliably reproduce the noise.

SW17LS.......I am starting to hear a click sound whenever I apply breaks. Is this the start of actuator problem ? Makes sound with car off also. Breaks seem to work fine though. Will this be warranted by Lexus on a 2017 ?

Its not really a click sound, its more of a crunch sound. But yeah, its definitely covered by the warranty.

Appreciate info. I would definitely not describe noise I hear as a crunch. Sounds more like a switch being activated..... a click. Had Lexus perform Pre buyer inspection about 900 miles ago...no problems. I will keep rolling.

Car has 29,500 miles on it.
My 07 is doing something very similar but I assumed that issue was fixed in the newer LS460 models. Honestly, it seems to me Lexus LS500 still has these issues. I was reading an article by Automobile about their tester LS500. Will attach file. Very interesting and kind of worrisome?

To be clear, any car with this sort of high pressure braking system can have a brake actuator failure.

Mine just failed or the light just came on with C1391. 2014 LS with 60k miles. It had it's 30-40k service done with brake fluids changed. It's the holiday, no rental cars, dealer wants arm and leg, and most importantly i need a car to get around in. I checked the vehicle for any leaks but could not find it w/the brake reservoir remaining at normal level. I cant believe something this critical can fail like that. Did anyone drive with all those lights on? I really need a car to get in. I made the mistake of selling my backup second car last month.

Seems like a hit or miss depending on your luck. I have an 08 that JUST turned 20k miles. Got the "bark" from the actuator. Don't think the previous owner ever did a brake flush. Had a Toyota dealer brake fluid flush and that fixed the problem - for a whole month. Now the "bark" is back. The car hasn't thrown any codes and there is no problem with the actual braking or brake feel. Despite the low mileage, I'm certain no dealer will replace the actuator due to the start of service date. Now the car just reminds me every time it "barks" that I should be saving my money to soon replace an outrageously overpriced actuator...

You not gonna try replacing the liquid first ? I wouldn’t change the actuator just for noise
