Default Can anyone tell me when LS460 changed seats

I was looking at a 2016 LS460 and found the front seats far heavier bolstered than even the seats in my 06 GS430. I have very wide shoulders and do not find the heavy bolster at all comfortable. The centre of my back doesn't touch the back of the seat because my shoulders rest on the bolsters. How far back in years do I have to go to get back to a flat seat back and bottom. I don't need a racing seat In a luxury sedan.

The GS430 is a great and comfortable car that is a blast to drive and with only 90K miles I will keep it for summer driving. I would like to get the LS for the AWD and larger trunk space for long trips in bad weather. Thanks for the help and information

Was it an F Sport model? I believe those seats are more heavily bolstered than the standard LS seats.

Ys it was in fact an F Sport. I will have to see if I can find a non=sport version and check out the seats in that. Thanks for the info.

Also, look at the "L" version.

Interesting, my driver controls for heating and cooling does not turn on - intermittently - 99% off less than 1% maybe once or twice actually.

I looked under the seat to see if I could feel/trace a loose connector - that seems mission impossible! Any ideas here please?

This issue usually means you need to replace it . Not a wiring issue

So just an update and thanks much for the heads up. Ended up buying a 2015 LS460 SWB AWD in pristine shape. If is the non-F sport version and the seats are far more comfortable for me. My shoulders do not keep my back from touching the back of the seat, like the heavily bolstered F-Sport seats did. Thanks again for the info, was VERY helpful.

Congrats on the new car! I've never been in an F Sport myself, but I've done 400-mile trips in my 2011 and felt great at the end of the day. Enjoy it!

Congrats on a model that “fits”. I personally recommend applying a ceramic paint protector. My 2013 was garaged and waxed regularly, so no need to do paint correction on white paint. This made it very affordable for me to apply the ceramic. I keep it garaged and 5 years later the coat still beads water and makes the car easier to keep clean.
