Is this covered under the CNA Warranty....
So, I just got my 2008 LS460 car form Carmax last Friday and the experience has been very bad thus far, I will mention that another time.
I purchased the Maxcare warranty through CNA and it states light bulbs are not covered.
Here is my question:
Has anyone had the tiny light bulbs under the switches (PWR/SNOW, Rear Window shade, Seat Heater) go out and have your Lexus dealer either cover the entire switch OR pay for bulb replacement under the CNA warranty since the bulb is an integral part of the switch ?
On another note, I was thinking of replacing the tiny bulbs myself but I can't find the bulbs (where to buy, I want OEM) and I can't find tutorials on how to install them
Thank you very much

So just so I am clear, there are no bulbs on these switches they are diodes.
Yes, Carmax will do the repair to the switches, they flat out said they are not putting in new switches, but there is the my problem with Carmax's shotty work......they sold me a car with the following wrong with it:
-Front driver control arm bad
-Satellite radio does not work
-Buttons on the radio don't light up
-Various lights under buttons don't light up when headlights are on
Since they could not even inspect the car property before selling it, why would I want them to do repair work on it, when one other Carmax rep flat out told me, "we do repairs the cheapest way possible"
I do have a CNA warranry, but i cannot use it with Lexus until 90 days, so just to make the car safer and to preserve the suspenion, I am only having them do the control arm and I will have Lexus do the rest of the work after 90 days.
The whole situation with Carmax has been a mess.
Oh and yes, I can give back the car but I don't want to because Lexus has agreed to replace all my panels and dash for like 10k and I only paid 13k for the car, so I need to keep it.
I just won't ever be buying or using Carmax and their service dept again

A friend of mine has a contract with Carmax to fix their cars under warranty. He said they basically don't check for much beyond the obvious, and even with all the repairs he does he said they still come out way ahead because their prices are so high.
He just replaced an engine in a Nissan Altima. Carmax paid for a used one, and the job cost around $1200 total. He said they still made a couple of thousand on that car.

I would take a used switch or button vs. them soldering diodes which is exactly what they said they are going to do, not sure how
But an engine, come on ha ha
Should be Greedmax instead of Carmax
