Default Adjust Brightness of LCD...

In my 2008 LS460 I noticed that the clock LCD display is more sharp and clear than the LCD around the stereo showing the outside temperature, etc

Does anyone else see what I mean ?

Is this normal ?

Does anyone know how to adjust the LCD around the stereo ?

Thank you!

Are you referring to the brightness display button to the left of the steering?

No, I am referring to the old school looking lcd outside temp display under the center stereo , my lcd display looks different than the clock lcd display , it is not as bright as the clock display at the top of the dashboard.

Unless I am mistaken, the stereo and climate control displays are LCD, whereas the clock display is an LED. They are illuminated differently. If your stereo display looks dim, one of the lights behind the LCD panel may have burned out.

What would be causing this difference in clarity of the clock LED vs. the outside temp LED above the stereo controls ?

It is as if the clock LED is crisp and grey in color and the LED above the stereo control is green in color and seems less bright and crisp

They're just two different LCD readouts behind two different plastic shields, the one down for the climate controls has a anti-glare coating also which may be a part of it.

So even though in my case one appears green in color and the clock really appears grey, that is normal ?

Please post pictures of both displays. I have never known an LED to look grey...
