Default Emblem corosion?

Have you ever seen this?
What do you think? What happened with the emblem? How can I repair/renew it? Do you have any idea?

That looks like it is from "poor maintenance" or detergent build up.
Try cleaning the inside of the emblem with APC and a toothbrush then use a NON ABRASIVE chrome polish to bring back the shine.

Thank you for your help. But could you give me any information about how can I remove and disassemble the emblem, please?

That emblem is most likely put on with emblem adhesive or tape...... You can try GENTLY prying it off with a plastic scraper or fishing line then buy a new emblem. They sell a 3M emblem adhesive (Google) that can be purchased on the net or at your local parts store.

TIP! I would NOT attempt this project without first buying an "L emblem" and having it in hand.

That looks like crazing/fading from sun damage like you see on many poly carbonate headlights, if it is just on the outside you can wetsand it and polish it and it will look as good as new but in a few months or a year or two it will start fading again. You can add a sealant to it for a little more protection but it won't stop it from happening again.

Thank you, but I do not want to buy new emblem because I think it is extremley expensive. It not worth the price. About $250 / piece .

I have checked the part diagram but I found only the front fixing about the emblem. The front emblem is fixed with 2 nuts.

But I did not find any information about how is it fixed on the trunk.
But maybe I try to poilsh it and I will see the result.
