Curious. Was there a specific install video that helped you with taking the ls460 dash down?
Unfortunately, I could not find a video that showed the entire process for the LS install. I used the video below for removing the radio stack, etc. BeatSonic supplied written instructions for the full setup, and I used those for the rest of the install. BeatSonic has full install videos for the LX, GS, RC, etc and I watched each of those a few times to get a sense of how to do the full install. If I recall correctly, the dash portion was similar to the GS video.

The absolute most difficult part for me was to remove the small plastic piece below the radio (see 2:05 in the video below). For some reason, it was very tricky for me. Other than that, it was pretty easy. I tucked the boxes and rest of extra wires behind the carpet, similar to what is shown in the BeatSonic RC install video (see 14:40 in the RC video that can be found on the page at the URL at the end of this post).

Here's a link to all their videos: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCe-...-tr6gYQ/videos

Happy to answer any questions.

Would you mind posting those instructions?

The instructions came as hard copies in the box, and I'm sad to say I threw them away. I imagine BeatSonic could email them if you contact them.

Wow! This is an awesome installation you did without any any previous experience. Great job! My main fear will be knowing which screw goes where after taking everything apart. How did you handle sorting which screws goes where when putting everything back? Are they labeled in little baggies and taped to the item or do you have a system to not get them lost with everything hanging loose? I wouldn’t mind trying if the installation is easy enough. Anyone knows what installation shops would charge for installing a similar same system as this? I wouldn’t mind having a professional shop install it for me if the price is reasonable.

There really weren't that many screws to keep track of - 2 screws in the side of the center gear lever section, 2 screws in the radio, 4 screws in the display, and about 3-4 screws in the glove box. Most of the items are attached using clips that were very easy to get in and out. I did put each set of screws in their own bag and labelled them just in case.

I thought about having a shop do it, but two things: (i) if it's a capable DIY project, for some reason I always think I'll be more careful than a shop; and (ii) I like to live dangerously :-)

I've driven quite a bit since the install (including two 7 hour round trips), and there isn't a single rattle or noise. So I think I did a pretty good job. lol.

Alternatively, you could have made another hole near the lighter outlet and retained the outlet. Good to know Carplay works great! You and Steve (SW17LS) should do a side-by-side comparison of the features of the Beatsonic and LSailt kits!
Have you made a hole like this before? I’m curious what the best method would be to make a clean hole into the plastic.
