2016 LS460 steering wheel seems off-centered/doesn't rotate linearly... Car drives straight on the road and no issue with alignment. Bought last week and just noticed this behavior.
While turning the steering wheel (when Lexus L emblem is upside down), it seems off centered/doesn't rotate linearly. Kind of gives wobbly feeling. Please see the pics. Camera angle was stationary. Is that normal?
In my other cars, rotation is linear and doesn't change from the point of reference.
Totally normal; axis of rotation (which is more or less where the 'L' is) is noticeably not at the center of the circle. I don't believe I've ever owned a car with a perfectly centered steering wheel, and further (FWIW), somehow, a couple days ago I was remembering the first time I noticed this phenomenon when I was 4 or 5 years old. Go figure!
Indeed, I've been into cars since early in life...
