Default Heated steering button

Guys need any advice or help regarding this new problem ny 2008 ls has started to turn on the heated steering switch on and off on its on while driving it suddenly turns on and later turns off

Anyone who know is there any separate fuse for it so i can remove that or any tip to try to make it ok

P.s when the switch light turns on it is operational and steering gets warm so it is possibly a switch going bad according to me

If you have climate control set to "Auto", the system would turn on steering wheel heater as well as seat heater (if set to auto) based on internal and external temps.

In my 2016 LS I have set AC to Auto with temps at 72 and seat heater/cooler to Auto. The car would auto select the fan speed to maintain the temp at 72 and also turn on seat and steering wheel heater now that we are heading in cooler months. In summer, seat cooler/ventilation system would kick-off.

I think it's supposed to do that. I know mine comes on and off automatically, and the indicator light in the button turns on and off as well. If it comes on and you don't want it, press the button and the light will go out with the heat.

If my settings are at high temperature getting a warm steering is still something i can think off . But it is already summer and its 100F outside Ac is turn at mac cold why would it heat the steering? I am pressing the button and after some time its turning on by itself

I am driving my ls from past two years now if it would be normal i would have noticed it

Sorry, I didn't notice you were in the UAE--Here where it's getting cold my steering wheel just started turning itself on recently.

My 2008 LS600h does not automatically activate heated steering wheel or heated/cooled seats. It's not in the customization menu via Techstream either:

Could this be a market area or model year thing?

It will turn the heated steering wheel on when you start the car up in the morning and temps are below a certain threshhold, and heated/cooled seats are auto but only in the 2013-2017

I have noticed that my heated steering wheel seems to come on automatically when I start up the car and the exterior temp reads below around 60°F.

I have a problem with the ventilated rear seats coming on automatically in the rear seats only (UL pkg with 4 zone climate control). I have not been able to figure out what setting needs to be changed to stop this from happening. I have tried turning off 4 zone climate control and turning off and locking the rear seat controls. It definitely has something to do with the rear auto settings because all I have to do is push the auto buttons on the rear controls and the rear ventilated seats will turn off.

Any suggestions?

This was going to be a question I asked this week. Is this a feature that can be disabled to auto come on? Not sure I like that automatic feature.

I will have to look in the manual The funny thing, the first time it came on, I was in the garage letting the car warm for a second. Put it in reverse and grabbed the wheel. I was taken aback. Immediately shut it off. It has to be well below freezing before I ever turned it on in my 08. And only had it on a few minutes.
