Thank youuuu! Gosh, to look at brochures when Lexus was Lexus.

I also have driven both 460 with Air Suspension and with coil springs, I think the Air Suspension gives the car an overall better ride for sure.

My 14 has the air. I can't confirm it yet, but at this point I believe my non air 08 had a better ride. With that said, this 14 is very special and I enjoy every moment I'm in it! As for concern, I have a 5 year warranty which is roughly 3 months old. Should any issues with the A.S. arise, I am well covered.

The Sport has leather on the doors and armrests. The center console leather is of the same high quality as the seats. However the leather on the lower center console near the dash feels like Toyota’s SofTex synthetic material. I had SA leather in my ‘05 CL and it did seem like slightly higher quality than what’s in 10-12 Sport models. Only because it seemed more resistant to wear. But don’t get me wrong the leather in my ‘11 is aging very nice.

Does ‘base model’ leather always have the rich leather scent? At 8 years old every time I open up the door it still smells like ‘new leather’ This has me asking my self is SA leather in this model?

And in response to the OP out west here in BC there are plenty of 07-08 models that are on the market for many, many months. Prices are to be found around or below 10k and these cars still have well under 300,000kms (186k miles)

Bear in mind yours is an F Sport which is a little more firmly tuned, and your 08 had 18s vs the 19s on your F Sport

Yes I am finding that I need to enjoy the ride this car offers, which I do. It's a sports car.

A used LS460 is only worth what someone wants to pay for it. These are really good vehicles at the right price. Luxury and reliability with "quiet" styling. The S class is the king of this segment, even as a used car. But the Lexus is a sensible choice, even if the market doesn't reflect that.

Air ride is definitely a better ride theres no doubt about it

You also have 3 settings which you can adjust to your liking

But my desire is to find a 13+ rwd 460L without air for two reasons

1. The air suspension continually changes it's own height , you cannot get a proper stance if you add aftermarket wheels.

2. The obvious costs and problems associated when they fail

Although both of mine have been fine for going on 3 years

upon air suspension failing.... cant regular ls460 aftermarket (but oem issue) shocks + springs be installed instead to forgo the air suspension all together?
