Default How to remove liner inside LS460 trunk lid

I need to remove the liner inside a 2007 LS460 trunk lid so I can access the
locking latch. The little retainer buttons seem hella difficult to remove.

I had a quick look at mine. I assume you're talking about the little christmas tree clips?. Something like this? https://www.buyautosupply.com/bas015...ree-trim-clip/

If so use a angled trim removal tool to lever and pry them out - you can't really do any damage here so jump in. These tools are normally all plastic but some kits have a special metal forked tool for this exact job as it gets in behind the clip's head easier for clips that are recessed which i see here. You don't have to worry about scuffing plastic trim as you're only dealing with carpet here. I just tried my tools on my 460 and yep they popped right out with the right tool. Great investment (and cheap) if you like pulling things apart like me Hope that helps.
