Had a side front end wreck
Wondering if anyone has a good experience with repair shop in the League City area for Lexus LS460. I had a wreck that took off the bumper and when the wrecker latched it on to the wrecker water leaked out. The water was clear not like water from a radiator. Anyone have a great place to get the car repaired?

Hi GMounger, very sorry to hear about your accident. At least, no one appears to have been hurt, so that's great. The damage looks bad but hopefully it is just superficial (the bumper, the front quarter panel plus the right headlight assembly: probably around 3K in parts)
Without knowing the extent of the damage, I think any competent collision repair shop should be able to fix it. If insurance is paying for it, check out nearby Lexus dealerships and pick one that has a good body shop as well as a good reputation. It will be more expensive to go the Lexus route, but you will have Lexus techs fixing the car.

Sorry to hear about the accident. I've had similar ones and each time it was repaired at Lexus dealer since insurance is paying for it.
fender $500, bumper $1000, headlight assembly $1200, and possible other items, might cost ~$5000 at Lexus dealership.

The water is most likely from the headlight washer line of that busted light. If the hose got disconnected (which what it looks like) and fell to the ground the fluid will leak out from the tank due to gravity.
If there's any fluid left, smell it. If it smells of alcohol then that's what it is.

Yup! Several years ago I ran over a rather large piece of truck tire (in a Jetta). The repair bill (at non - VW shop came in at over $6000, and there was hardly any visible (from the outside) evidence that that much was broken.

Yes everything was included in the price as of 12/30 they were fixing it for $13K. Then found electrical issue on 1/2/2020 said additional $5.8K. So they totaled it. Now in search of a car.

Oh wow way to start off the New Year. However, as long as you are not injured and you and everyone in the car is fine, then now you can go on the hunt for something new to you and exciting. Battle hard with the insurance company, get all the money you can, and find your new car.
