Fortunately, I haven't had to dig into this area but am seeking knowledge as usual when it comes to our cars. As you mentioned, 82730-50150 is not found in the Lexus parts sites I normally use; however, on ebay here quite a few show up for sale: https://www.ebay.com/sch/i.html?_fro...50150&_sacat=0
yeah it’s odd let’s wait for alk and those experts to chime in so I can figure out what to do. As in which model number to attempt finding a euro version for

82730-50150 is a part number of a sub-assembly. The actual part number is 82730-50190, which corresponds to 2007 LS460(L) Canada spec.

It is a sub-assembly because the box itself does not constitute a whole part (see the picture below).

Your VIN number was used to generate a list of compatible parts. The part numbers say that you have Canadian spec, US spec has a different part number for the block.

Officially there are 4 destination codes, USA, EU, JP, and general but I know there are still some parts marked as Canada spec.

Realistically I'm not sure what the region differences could possibly be because our road laws are very similar. Usually Canada spec cars just have extra rubbers and stops to prevent icing over.

I have a harness on the way for the "slave" fuse box. My plan is to only hook up power, ground, and intercept the can line from the headlight switch, allow the slave fuse box to be able to enable the rear fog light signal, and tie into the output can line going to the trunk fuse box. In theory, if this is the only thing the slave fuse box sees and controls, it won't be able to mess with anything else that the factory fuse box is controlling. Will update when I get it installed.

So, even just hooking up only the one CANN/CANP line that the fog light switch its on, hooking up the second fuse box causes everything to flicker/flash on and off (cluster, warning lights, hvac) so it doesn't look like this is going to work. Pretty unfortunate.

Since I don't have any empty switch blanks anywhere to even add an external switch for the rear fog light, I might use a remote relay. This way everything is isolated to the trunk since it's all right there anyways.

Something like this:

Is having the rear fogs on a separate line from the fronts a must? If no, I'd tie the rears into the fronts and just have them come on when the fronts do. If you need/want them independent then ignore me.

You could, but that's still another wire all the way to the trunk through a bunch of grommets and seat removals from either the engine bay or under the dash.

I'd also prefer them independent anyways. Certain situations don't always call for them both being on.

I hear ya. Unfortunately I have zero CAN, CAN interception, decoding, and sending experience which sounds like is the crux of the problem.

There still is a chance in getting this to work properly. Someone would just need to first figure out if there were and LHD LS460's made with rear fog. Then probably buy it new because the odds of finding a used one are basically zero. This should eliminate the mirror and window switch issues of putting a RHD fuse box in a LHD car. Then you would be left with a working rear fog and celcius HVAC display.

As far as finding the CAN signal that activates the rear fog lights you would need a scanner on the line to grab that line of code which shoots out when you turn on the rear fog light. That's the easy part. The hard part would be figuring out how to even inject that line of code when you flip the switch, or flash the USDM CPU/chip to enable rear fog. I can't even think of a scenario where this would even be worth it lol. Going to install my $18 wireless remote/relay and be done with it.
