Lexus Enform, Remote Start Questions
I signed up for the SOS and Remote start service; figured for $16 a month it's worth it, especially the part that automatically sends emergency response if my airbags deploy... since wife and my kids will be driving this car too...
I noticed 3 things that I'm wondering about:
1) if I remote start the car from my phone, it will shut off the engine the moment I walk up to it and unlock the doors.
2) it doesn't always update my last parked location for some reason.
3) it never updates my parked location if I put the car in my company's huge 6 floor parking lot; looks like the structure is not allowing GPS signal through... but at the same time it will update the odometer reading and fuel level... so what gives? software bug?
btw I did update the software in my car using a USB stick. is there some other software only a dealer can update?

Yes, it will shut off the engine when you unlock it. You have to start it up again. My best guess is it's starts up in a different mode with the timer for safety, and needs to be restarted completely to go back to normal mode.
If you're getting updates to odometer but not location I think you're probably right that the GPS signal is not available. Try parking on the very edge of the parking structure and see if it works there. Does it work when you part in outdoor parking lots?
