Default F Sport Question -air suspension

Considering an F sport LS460. I know they use air suspension and they have a comfort mode. However, will the comfort mode be just as soft as standard LS460 with air suspension or will it still ride slightly stiffer because it is an F sport? Thank you

No, the F Sports are firmer riding even in Comfort mode. I would say the F Sport in comfort mode feels like the standard car on air suspension in Sport S+ mode. You also will have a reduction in ride quality going from LWB to SWB.

RZ replaced a regular LS460 with an F Sport and is unhappy with the ride if you look at his latest posts.

I'll say this, I've grown more accustomed to the ride. I really find the interior & exterior F Sport additions a step above the traditional LS. My biggest qualm at this point is the noise. I thought it might be wind but it appears to be the tires, or so it seems. The reason I say this as did Steve, is because on real smooth or newly paved road, it's much more quiet. I'm just not interested in spending more money on new tires to find out. But, I'll sell the car tomorrow if someone is interested.

I dont love the interior treatment of the F Sport (I like wood), but I do prefer the front clip of the F Sport.

I really think your noise issue is tires.

We share the same feeling about the wood. I prefer the exterior styling that is why I am considering it but I also will miss the wood if I decide to pull the trigger. I personally don't really think the metal or aluminum looking trim really belongs in an LS.

I am glad you are accustomed to the ride. My only fear is now that I have 95,000 miles on my LS I am starting to feel more bumps in the road and I do not feel like the car is as smooth as it was when I first got it with 30k miles. I just put new pirelli p7 cituano tires on it and I still feel the same way. I am just concerned the F sport will give me the same ride quality as I have now and I am not very happy at this point.

You can always put the F Sport front clip on the standard car.

I can appreciate that Lexus left wood in the ‘10-12 Sport models. What I really is the Alcantara headliner.

The F Sport sits 10mm lower with specific dampening so naturally it rides firmer. I found comfort mode surprisingly good though.
