I've gone over all the filters: engine, and two cabin locations. Haven't gotten under the front seats yet. New tires today. Sterted to clay the paint and realized that it had already been done by previous owner. Thanks. Putting on my favorite sealer Rejex. Car is so well maintained but was surprised at how dirty the drivers seat surface was. I use Griots leather care spray, it does a mild clean and protect. I realize that semi-aniline leather is coated with surface sealer and most any cleaner would do the job. I like the feel and fragrance left behind as well as ease of use.

If the car had a ceramic coating you would be able to tell the super hydrophobic water behavior

It's not doing that. I think it was just well maintained and freshly clayed. I was able to email the previous owner. He said that his detailer used Meguiar products but that's all he knew. So, I'm thinking I need to keep up with technology and stop using polymer sealants. From what I've seen on Amazon, many quartz products have multiple coatings, 2-3 products in a package. I believe you mentioned c quartz?

I have a ceramic coating on mine, in fact I have the product to replace it which I will do in the spring. If you get a 50mL bottle it will do the LS and the wheels twice. Watch some YouTube videos, prep is really important.
The coating I have on there now is 22ple HPC, and what I’m going to replace it with is CarPro Cquartz UK 3.0 and Gliss.

Thanks for sharing product names. I've no problem with clay and wiping paint with cleaner. I don't own a buffer Local shops charge $200-300 for paint correction (polishing swirls). I'm going to look at my paint in the sun and if the swirls are minimal, I may try applying without buffing. Still on the fence.

Having the coating on there is great. Stays cleaner, easier to clean too.

After a paint inspection in bright sun, I find the previous owner had his detailer buff the finish smooth, no swirls. So, I ordered the Cquartz 50ml. No salt on roads which the UK 3.0 is made for. Some lacquer thinner and iso alcohol should wipe away any polymer coating and waxes on the surface. I started to clay the car but found that it was already done. I'll try Cquartz on the chrome wheels as well.

did you get the Cuartz lite? That just won’t last as long.
I wouldn’t use lacquer thinner. CarPro makes a product called Eraser, I would get that
