Good day,
I have read on the forums (which the posts have been very concise) different solutions to the issue I am having with my 2007 LS 460 Base model.
About a week ago I have had the front two wheel hubs replaced the work was done by a reputable indie shop, however I have the VSC, ABS and AFS Off lights on.
After scanning with my BlueDriver ODD II Bluetooth scanner I get the following code C1236 LEXUS - Foreign Object Attached On Tip Of Left Front Sensor

When I clear the code it comes right back when I drive the car.
I am reaching out to get some advice on how to approach resolving this.

Code is coming back because the problem is still not solved take it back to the shop and tell them to check the speed sensor most probably its debris or somepart of metal is touching it

Thanks for the quick reply, metal shavings or debris is what I was thinking was causing the code, but I was told that the Front LH & RH speed sensors are inside the hub assembly.
Is that correct?
Or is it a separate component?

To remove the sensor , simply jack the car up and turn the wheel to the extreme left, then unclip the plug from the wheel speed sensor behind the wheel. Then turn the wheel to the extreme right and unbolt the wiring harness brackets from the control arm and body (with three screws). Then remove two of the screws and clip in the wheel arch and you can just reach your hand behind to unclip the sensor.

Ok so I followed your instruction and I have the wire harness...so my question still remains;
Is the sensor in the hub assembly? or is the harness I just removed the sensor?

Check this it will help you and keep a electrical cleaner alongside with you just incase you want to clean it

After pulling the wire harness cleaning the contacts with CRC contact cleaner and putting it all back together I don't the C1236 code anymore, I now get a B2415 Vehicle Speed Sensor.
I am wondering if the wiring harness is the culprit?

For a moment i got happy before i read that there is this new code damn did you see any damage to the harness or socket ?

I would recommend to clear the code and see if it comes back if it does then we have to go back and start looking for any damage to the harness or socket

Thank you for the link, now it makes sense.
So upon inspection of the wire harness it does not seem like there is damage, I will have to take a multimeter to it to see if I get any voltage what should it read?
Also if I have to check fuses where are the location of the fuses for the ABS ECU?
The car did not come with the manual so today I am going to do some looking on the forum to find the information I need.

I will try to attach manual pdf or you can download it online all the fuses are mentioned in manual

Did you tet resetting the code

Yes after resetting the code it came right back.
Thinking about also ordering a Techstream so I can see more detailed facts about the code.

Voltage should be ac .25 to 1v

Thegamemhb: I was able to get the user manual as I signed up on drivers.lexus and now have an electronic version of it.

MysteryMob : You are quite right parts do sometimes come defective.
