Default External Mirror and Reverse

Thanks for your patience ...
The external mirror on the passenger door.
When I put the car in reverse, the mirror tilts up.

Is that how it should tilt?

I was thinking when I put the car in reverse it should tilt the mirrors down, to give me a better view of the parking lot markers.

Perhaps there is a wire installed backwards.

Your thoughts are appreciated.

When the car is in reverse, you can re-adjust the mirrors, and those settings will save for the next time you put the car in reverse. What happened was at some point someone adjusted the mirrors up while it was in reversed.

So just put the car in reverse, tilt them down where you want them and next time you put it into reverse they will tilt down to that position.

No way! I always thought mine dipped down too low so I kept the reverse tilt feature off.
Thanks for the tip!

I guess you learn new things every day... 4 LS's and never knew you could adjust the reverse settings. I always thought it went down based on where you had the mirrors...

Thanks for the tip !
