Comparing them to everyone pretty much , surprisingly some of the better deals are coming from the dealers, I think they realize they aren't selling too fast and they are just unloading them at wholesale prices after getting trade ins.

The thing is I still drive it, so im getting my moneys worth out of it, I just want to move on to something newer and I refuse to get ripped off by dealer trade ins , so im riding it out waiting for a reasonable offer.

This market has worked in my favor too, in 2018 I purchased a 90 000 mile fully loaded 460L with executive package for $12 000 Canadian ($8900 usd) , I sold it for a $3500 profit a year later after racking up 25 000 kms on it.

Ill use that to offset the losses im taking on my current 08

The proof that your car is overpriced is that it hasn't sold in 2 years. Thats all there is to it, if it were properly priced it would have sold. Has nothing to do with ego, and there isn't anything I can do to prove that to you outside of the feedback the market has already given you...that nobody wants to buy it. Sales prices of other cars that are on the market are meaningless, you need to know what cars like yours are actually selling for, and while I don't have that data I bet its considerably less than you're asking.

More evidence your car is overpriced. You need to be priced below what the cars are selling for from a dealer as a private party seller. If the dealer is "unloading them at wholesale" then that has a huge impact on the market value of your vehicle.

Clearly you're too emotionally invested in this and you aren't able to look at it objectively, which happens all the time...I wish you luck with it.

All things are based on price and demand. Like a house that sat in our neighborhood unsold for years sold last year for a ton more money. Why? The WGC is now at our golf course and houses are flying off the shelf: DEMAND! A house redone sells quick, one that is dated sells for lower price. Same with a car. My 08 had new interior, ML sound system with DVD and it sold in moments for $12,500. Was it undervalued? Don't care. I got more than CarMax offered me and I was pleased how fast I got it sold which meant fast purchase of my new car. It's also possible to hold on to a car for the long haul and see if there are any bites or even offers. If though, after a time, should one want their car sold, they have to consider lowering the price as an alternative. If hanging on to it isn't a problem, don't budge and wait it out.

I have no idea what the demand for an LS is where you live, but it is lukewarm around here in the northeast. I have seen the prices for these LS’s tank over the past two years. It’s bad.

I was contemplating getting into an SUV, but can’t justify letting my in great shape LS go for peanuts. Hence, I am keeping it for the foreseeable future. Not a good time to be in a luxury sedan, if you want to get into something else.
