Gosh, the '13+ has aged well...

I like the 2007-2012 interior better, more ugly panel gaps in 2013-2017.

I prefer touch screen too by far but that doesn't count as interior quality. And what am I looking at here? Misapplied glue in the crack there?

Okay, after monitoring this thread for some time, I have to chime in. I find the 2013+ LS 460 F Sport in Matador Red to be a stunningly beautiful car--which is part of the reason I bought one. I don't care much for the spindle-grill on non-F Sport models and I don't care much for the spindle on most other Lexus models of that year. But sometimes I can't help myself but to step back and admire it. Shortly after I bought it I had many people approach me and tell me what a beautiful car it was. I guess it doesn't make quite as much of an impression as it used to as that hasn't happened for some time. There are a few pics of a Matador Red F Sport here: https://www.digitaltrends.com/cars/2...0-first-drive/

Pre-'13s have a cheaper interior than my 2004 LS430, and I don't even have the 430 with the leather upgrade.
Wood, leather, carpet, headliner is better. LS430 way more plush inside. No cheap plastics at all, or cheap looking anything.
I wanted to buy one but it felt less luxurious than my 430 inside, the salesmen looked irked when I told him that, lol.
It's not how bad the 460 interior was, it's how good the 430 was. It had a lot to live up to.
Can you post a pic sometime when the wire is exposed? I've sat in some +'13s and liked them a lot, I feel Lexus finally addressed that issue.

And the wood in the 430 is from a Sopranos episode, not in my taste going into 2020

AJT, I owned a ls430 and a 460 and only ones man opinion but I enjoyed my 430 but it is worlds antiquated and not as comfortable as the ls460.. I loved my 430 5 speed auto with that motor, but interior to interior its not and day with the new gen.

The wood, just looking at it is higher quality. So is the leather.
I don't want to turn this into a 430 vs 460 thread, but yes I will say that until 2013 the LS460 interior was not as nice as its predecessor. Even car magazines called the interior cheap.

Antiquated doesn't mean less luxurious.

Wasn't trying to knock 460.
I did find it interesting you mention the old 5 speed. When I drove that 460 I felt there were too many gears. That goes for virtually everything these days so I'm not singling anything out. 5 gears is really all you need, or 6.
