Lol no, facts.
I could waste my time and post a million links but I'm not going to so here's just one:

Ask anybody who knows anything about cars they will tell you the same thing. I-6s are BMWs forte, not V8s. BMW V8s fail like crazy and at ridiculous, stupid low mileage. Since they introduced it in the early-mid 90s. They're a disaster. The original 4.4 would jump its (plastic, nice) timing chain cover like clockwork.

All this 600h talk makes me want to buy one of those, now. Lol.
I hear it has RR waftability, and Toyota replaced the venerable and crazy smooth V-12 in the Century with this powertrain so it's got to be first rate.

Just reading the GS and LS forums there are quite a few people who have had to replace the batteries/had them fail at considerable costs. I would not own one unless you had a extended warranty plus all the weight of the battery/hybrid system puts much more stress on the 2 main trouble spots in the LS460, the control arms and air suspension.

If you're gonna keep it a long time, I wouldn't buy a 600h, and I would try to find a RWD one. The RWD is just cheaper to work on.

Plus you lose 25 something horsepower and add a lot of weight. I see the AWD cars here all the time and am like really? I get it for the snowbelt.

I've had both, and from a drivability standpoint the RWD feels a little better, and it puts power down better obviously. I would take either, but the RWD is much cheaper to work on.

Although I prefer the infotainment interface before the 2013 refresh, it’s really a matter of personal preference. I am going to keep my 2010 as long as it doesn’t become a money pit. It is the most enjoyable and comfortable sedan I’ve owned. And the Matador Red with chromed wheels doesn’t look bland To me; on a 2013+, it would look downright aggressive.
Good luck with your search.

There was actually a thread about 12-15 months ago on here where someone posted a pic of one for sale. I believe it was one of the more "regular" 4LS forum contributors who posted the pic but I can't remember who it was. The car looked great as expected.

But, there are a lot more potential costs with the 600h, and its not just the hybrid system. Remember the fellow that had a bad 02 sensor in his 600h and they wanted $1,800 or something to replace it? Well thats because of the manifold design of the 600 and the AWD, that job is like $400 in the RWD 460. And hybrid components DO go bad even if it is rare, its happened to owners here and those are shockingly expensive.
Like anything else someone just has to be aware of the additional potential costs involved with the 600h and decide if the benefits were worth the potential costs. They wouldn't be for me in a car that I was going to keep a long time.

I was in the market for a LS460 for over a year, every single one I test drove had suspension issues/was making noises, it is eventually a common issue on the LS forums, does not mean that every single one will be effected so of course yours may not have had any issues but it is pretty common that even non Lexus review sits list it as a issue, the hybrid and the extra weight would make the issue worse. 1 in 4 owners or 25% is a pretty high number actually. The design of the upper control arms is still basically exactly the same to my understanding as the 2010-2011 redesign, it is just the 2013's had less miles on them so not as many issues coming up yet.

There are differences in the bushings used as well.
