Default Will a sport grille fit my non sport LS?

Hi all, I have a 2010 LS460L, and was wondering if it is possible to put the sport grille in. My car has PCS and radar cruise, so it has the different badge. Does anyone know if they made the sport package car available with pcs/radar?

First picture is the sport grille, second pic is my car.

I have a 2010 Sport with radar cruise. Although I’m unsure if it’s PCS, I am aware that there is a red brake light I get on my dash when a car in front abruptly brakes or gets too close while I drive, it lights up. I checked samples of PCS light on dash and it is different from that.

Are you sure you have the radar cruise and not just the adaptive cruise? I might be confusing some of the names since I’m coming from a LS430, but to tell if you have the radar option the grill badge will be enclosed in plastic and not exposed. Look under the dash above the gas pedal and you can see if you have PCS, there is a button to turn it off.

Only one system on the LS460. LS430s can have radar or laser depending on the year.

The grille should fit no problem

So I would just have to swap the Lexus badge and I shouldn't have any issues?

I dont think the LS Sport edition had the PCS system. Moreover, I believe some members on here say that the sport bumper wont fit. I'm not sure if anyone tried it.

2010-2012 will take both sport and regular grills but I don’t think you can update from 2007-2009 with the newer grill.

Default 2011 grille differences

I can't imagine Lexus would make the entire grille assembly dimensions different; however, my research has me believing they are. Maybe someone with the sport model would be kind enough to physically measure the grille for you. Looking at these 2011 models, the sport model grille appears to be slightly smaller (vertical measurement), no?

Also, I have a favor to ask of you that would help me with a grille project of my own. Could you please measure the inner sides of the chrome grille frame from corner to corner as I have highlighted with yellow dots in the pic below? Many thanks in advance brother!

That's an interesting question. What exactly is going on behind the different badge? Perhaps if you dig in there and see? I'm curious to know if the different badge actually does something or is just a cometic feature to denote the PCS/ Radar package. I have a 2011 non-PCS/radar cruise and I switched out the same stock grill you have with the sport grill. Bought it new from Bell Lexus off ebay in Arizona. Changed the whole look of the car I love it.

That particular emblem houses the radar sensor (or the sensor is behind it) and is clear so as to not block the millimeter waves. I had considered installing one on my '07 until I found out how expensive they are. Do you still have your old grille?

I thought the same but for the 2013+ LS, there is a unit that sits about 5” behind the emblem that is the radar or millimeter wave itself. Using the $400 OEM emblem is just plastic that allows the waves to pass through it. There was absolutely nothing special or anything built into the emblem.

Cool, thanks for clearing that up! All I know is that's a lot of money for something made of plexiglass, Lexan....or maybe unobtanium?

Mine is all gloss plastic with a lexus logo inside. Not like the old sport edition emblem with the logo standing out. Only thing I could think of is that the Lexus logo inside is shiny like chrome but has no chromium to block the radar or waves??
