Default Hill-start Assist not works

Hill-start Assist Control - When the vehicle starts off on a steep hill, hill-start assist control detects the backward movement of the vehicle and effects 4-wheel hydraulic pressure control to reduce the backward speed of the vehicle.
My car (LS 600h - 2007) .When I want to start from an ascent and I release my leg from brake pedal and move my to the acceleration pedal my car begins to roll back. Earlier HSA works fine but one day I stopped before a mall parking barrier and opened the driver side door when the shift was in D position. The parking brake applied and accidentally I wanted to start with my during the parking brake applied. I realized it within 10-20 centimeter and released the parking brake but when my car was moving I heard a strange noise from the back brakes.
I don’t know if the problem started right here but m the HSA it seem that not works. How can I inspect the problem about the HSA?

cant help you inspect the problem but can help you with an alternative in the mean time, try using the brake hold feature, which I’m am sure you are aware of, the button on the left part of your steering wheel. That way when you depress your brake pedal all the way, it holds for you. So when you move to the gas pedal it’s not going to roll back. This should hold you off for the time being till you figure the rest out.

Thank you for your answer! I tried to use the hold instead of automatic hill start assists but the hold function is not available on the steeper slope.

I assume you tried engaging hold while in park and have it ready to go before you moved out of park? It could be an issue of the hill just being too steep for anything other than manually engaging the parking brakes to help you out in that situation hmmm I wonder ...maybe there’s something in the manual about the limits of these systems
