Follow up and epilogue: After a month and a half of agonizing about this topic I finally got a new set of tires for my car. It was between the Pirelli Cinturato P7 Plus 2 and the Michelin CrossClimate2. I went for the Michelins because I felt like I really wanted that little bit of extra peace of mind for inclement weather.
They ride pretty nice so far.. quieter overall than my old Michelin tires by several dB and dramatically better handling on the warm, dry roads I have taken it on so far. I love how positive the steering turn-in feels. I just need to get used to the way they look on the Lexus now.

So, what's peculiar about the look of the CrossClimates on the Lexus? Please post a picture.

Thanks, Striker! I was afraid they had whitewalls
The unique tread pattern will not be visible from most angles, so it should look fine on a LS460. Someone mentioned however that it was noisy compared to typical all-seasons like the Cinturato.

The revision to the crossclimates was to address the noise issue in particular according to the press notes

I was worried about the noise but I think my worries were unfounded. My old tires were definitely much louder. I don’t think my phones decibel meter is very accurate but it showed a 4dB improvement with the CrossClimate2 vs the Pilot/Premier combo it was running before.

The edges of the outside tread blocks are somewhat pronounced. Maybe I’m overreacting when comparing them to the slicks I was running, haha. I will see about uploading a picture later on.
