New Lexus App Sucks
Has anybody tried the new Lexus app? My old app, "Lexus Enform Remote", is now showing a message every time I use it that it will be "discontinued effective September 8th..."
So I tried out the new app and it sucks. Vehicle status shows maybe ten items, where the old one showed 21. Super slow--most of the time I was just watching a wait spinner while the app was unresponsive.
Seriously, if my old app stops working and they force me to this one they are going to lose an Enform subscriber. I have no idea what the heck they are thinking! This app is worse in just about every way.

Pole Position
They discontinued the app on my car before I even bought it. Lexus may have been the innovator back in 89, but they've fallen to the back of the pack when it comes to tech. I understand the 2021 LS will finally enter the 21st century. Most of the other brands including Ford and Chevy are light years ahead of Lexus with regards to tech.

Delete the Lexus App (and all its contents...) and reinstall. Be sure you occasionally
reboot your phone, cold/dark/off, once a week ought to be enough. The new App actually
does quite a bit more than the former Start & Find app. We now have remote Hazard Lights
(kids, meet me at the car after the movie...), Driver Score (mixed benefit here...), Vehicle
Heath as before but now all the Histories, Appointments, Viewable Owner's Manuals and
the Roadside Assistance all of which used to require separate App and/or Websites.
Oh, and it is now less expensive than 2015-2017, $80 or $160/year rather than $249.

Really?
Am I missing something? This one, right? https://play.google.com/store/apps/d...m.lexus.oneapp
I don't get as much detail in my vehicle status; such as the trip odometers. And for me it's been freakishly slow.

Yep, thats the one. If you touch the picture of the car it will take you to a screen where you get all the same vehicle statuses. No issue with speed here, although I'm on Apple.

I took screenshots and compared them, and the new app does not show data for the following:
So it's definitely not showing as much detail as the old one, at least for me. I also liked the old graphic status--you can just glance at the car outline and see everything is closed and locked.
Speed does seem to have improved now that I've used it more. I don't have the driver score or remote hazards that mcomer mentioned.
- Alert Count / Status
- Trip A
- Trip B
Trunk<== My mistake, this is in the new one- Hazards

The only thing from that list it doesnt have is Trip A and B. It does have a count of alerts, when you pull the app up and the doors are unlocked for example, it shows a "4" on top of the picture of the car in the app. This is my car right now, because the doors are unlocked in my garage, note the "4" badge over the image of the car denoting the number of alerts, and the Status: Red exclamation point":
So if you look at the picture and there is no badge, and a green checkmark, all is well. I locked the doors and here's what that looks like
Like anything else it just takes some getting used to. The new app is much better looking, more similar to other manufacturer's apps. I have been using it now for probably 6 months. Deleted the old app.

If you like the former App keep using it, if you delete it you cannot replace it from the App Store/Play Store.

They’re going to stop supporting it, so it will stop working.

Looks better to me
Haven't had the chance to use the remote start since installing the new app, it was finicky sometimes in the old app. I do like that the pic of the car looks like my car, correct color even! But I don't see where you can "You can even use the app to find your vehicle in a crowded parking lot" mentioned at the bottom in one of the info boxes...someone mentioned remote hazards???

The new app also has a lot of functionality our cars can't take advantage of.

Hard to know exactly what each car is capable of, but I know at least 3 things the old app showed that the new does not for my car. Heck, I don't even have a picture of an LS460--just a generic car under a sheet. Seriously, how hard can that be to get right?!
