I know the LS is an expensive looking car, but OMG I got absolutely hateful stares today while waiting for my wife at Wal Mart for 3 minutes. Granted, I was backed into a spot for police officers for when they have to arrest shoplifters, but sheesh. One lady even tried to get a cart to roll into my car! I'll make sure to take a different car if I go there in the future.

that's odd, I take my Lexus to WalMart all the time

maybe it was not because you owned a Lexus but because you parked in an area where the police park as you said you did?

The People of Walmart will stare at you and casually damage your vehicle no matter what you drive.

Pro tip: ingress/egress through tire and lube express if possible.

The answer here isn't driving a different car, its being respectful of the spaces reserved for law enforcement.

The hateful stares are due to your actions which broadcast the message that "the rules dont apply to me."

That's BS. The people that go to Wal Mart are no more likely to damage your car than the jerkoffs at Starbucks.

Hi Dennis,
I appreciate your feedback. I’m pleased to say that I will take your word for it because I don’t ever go to Starbucks. Cheers

You're in the midst of ignorant consumers that espouse false information in regards to law enforcement. I avoid that place at all costs.

Why all the hate for Wal-Mart? I go there all the time and never have a problem. Just push all the way in the back of the lot.

Yes. I received the disapproval from my fellow citizens loud and clear. But don't fool yourself--it wasn't just that that I was in a reserved space, it was that they perceived me as an entitled rich _sshole because of the car as much as anything. I got the message and was already pulling out and planning to circle the lot when my wife came out. I've been keyed before (while parked normally), so I know firsthand that people's emotions can lead to vandalism.

Car was running, I was in it, maybe 2 or 3 minutes. This was definitely a combination of both.
