Default Window Tint

Putting Suntek Pro 35 on the 07 LS460
after getting interior replaced! Using a company called “ A Cut Above Window Tinting” in Webster, Texas. 215.00 plus tax! Getting 35% on the fronts and 20% on the rear and back glass!

I like that combination, I used to always use it on my cars until my current LS.

Some tint shops talk up ceramic tints and fancy films from 3M and stuff. I’ve personally never tinted any of my cars but I’ve always wondered what it would be like.

In TX the law says you must let 25% of the light in on the front and you can do what ever you like on the rears. So you should be ok.

Tint is also good at deterring window shoppers, depending on if that is a problem in your area.

Just got Xpel XR Prime Plus for the RX350. 70% for the windshield, and 30% all around. The heat reduction is very crazy. I cant believe I did not get ceramic a long time ago. Cost was $800 but well worth it. I always opted out for the cheaper ones, but the RX350 always gets so hot(even with the A/C on full blast). The LS460L that I just picked up has tint already and I believe it has ceramic tint, just not sure which kind. That was the reason that pushed me to get ceramic. I never knew the difference was this crazy.

I have limo all around and 35 on windshield. It is only hazardous when driving on a non lit road at night during the rain but other than that, love the privacy it provides.

I'm surprised they let you put anything on the windshield in California(?!)

I used to have 20% on the windshield on the LS430. You're right its only bad on non lit roads. I loved the privacy but when it rains or when I was on a non lit road it was bad. But then again the LS430 did not have bright lights compared to the LS460.

People usually do what they want with regards to tint and applicable tint regulations.
