Default AC problem in 2012 LS. Driver cold air, passenger warm air.

I get cold air on the driver's side but warm air on the passenger side. I've read all the previous threads on AC problems but none of them touched on temperature difference. Any ideas? Thanks in advance.

Check to see if you have a different temp displaying on each side. Check the dual button. Might be that easy.

Could be the AC amplifier acting up . The part number was updated more than 5 times for some models . or bad servos.

Yes, I've experienced this in one of my cars and that has been the issue.

If the ac has a delay and resets the temp to 75 when you start the car it is likely the ac amplifier.

yep , it happened to me only when I park in direct sunlight. My ac amplifier part number was 88650-50551 . It is was replaced by 88650-50555 . 4 revisions(updates) were made . For my 07 . The problem is once it resets the servo"s act up . Needs initialization using Techstream.

Thanks, guys. That gives me something to go on. The passenger air might be 75 degrees. Hard to say when it's 95 outside. I'm taking the car into my mechanic on Monday for oil change and have asked them to troubleshoot the problem, if it's detectable on the machine.,

I should have specified. If the digital display returns to 75f on startup, not the actual air temperature.

How expensive is the AC amplifier.... and how complicated is the R&R. Any ideas? Thanks.

The ac amplifier is behind the glove box. It took me 30 minutes or so. It's not too complicated if your handy.

I purchased one off ebay for $50 or so. There are different part numbers if you have rear ac controls. If you don't have rear ac controls I think any of the part numbers will work, but not positive.

Thanks once more, guys. I am tempted to buy a used one and have my mechanic install it. He is a former Lexus mechanic.
One question: Can he hook the car up to the computer and tell if the problem is the amplifier?
