Default 2007 ls460 sticky problems after fix at lexus

After a long wait finally Lexus called me that some parts are in and one is the door panel. Once they installed it the panel color doesn't make the original. Did this happen to anyone? The dealership is saying that my original is the same , it is just faded but I am not buying it. Please look at the pictures and let me know your thoughts, thanks

Someone else a while back had that same issue. I know that wood strip is removable fairly easy about 12 small screws in the back. Hope Lexus Corp can help or they should have removed your old ones and put on new panels. Maybe the dealer still has the doors.

Faded wood trim? No its a different wood trim. Surely Lexus didn't try to pull that one on you. I know people with thirty and forty years old cars and the wood trim haven't changed colors.

Shifter fades, and sometimes the steering wheel does a bit too, but never to such an extreme... And yes, even though the long trim piece is part of the door panel, they really should swap it with the old. I realize it's an extra step (and accordingly, an additional cost to Lexus), but sometimes there's just a right way to do certain things.

oh come on they are crazy! Completely different color! Either that wood was made defective and is much too dark or its the wrong color. Shame on them. Don't back down. That's unacceptable. If they can't fix it they should replace everything with new wood that matches!

I agree it looks like a different color. I would not accept that, What is your interior trim code?

They used the Dark Grey Bird's-eye maple wood of the 2009 lexus ls600 pebble beach edition: https://www.conceptcarz.com/images/L...h_i01-1024.jpg
Se yes, they messed up. I think I would explode in laughter in front of the service advisor if he would ever try to pass this absolute pile of bull**** to my face.

This is the same thing I was thinking. The only options for his model year and color was birds eye and brown Ash wood trim with his interior color.

If I were you if the dealer would stick to his clowning I'd post that story on Jalopnik so 1: peoples could have a good laugh and see the pitiful state of affair of some Lexus dealers in America and 2: make that dealer realize the concept of internet and how fast a dumpster fire can grow into a wildfire. I personally would feel like a clown driving into that car with such obvious mismatched panel color. Hard to believe someone in the service department saw this and though you would be this much of a cretin as to believe the story of the fading panel. Those panels are, without any questions, from different colors.

The only other thing that could have happened is because the dealers are ordering and replacing so many of these door panels perhaps they installed someone else door panels on your car? I wouldn't put it past them to have that happen. Even though its the dealer at least in my experience at my dealer it doesn't mean its the best by any means.

Which is strange because wouldn't a pebble beach edition car have the real leather arm rests with the stitching? Not what is shown in OPs photos. Something is strange.
