Tl;dr: I found a way to connect ANY HDMI device, including flash based gaming consoles, to the LS460L’s equipped with the Rear Entertainment System with a stupid cheap adapter. Links below.

As a millennial I grew up around the mighty Playstation 1, playing the likes of Gran Turismo, NFS High Stakes, and Porsche Unleashed to say the least.
This is where my love for cars emerged.
I clearly remember having a vision of one day being able to play in the back of a cool car, and how far fetched that idea was.
Almost all TVs were fat heavy CRTs back then, and all gaming consoles ran on disks meaning that the slightest imperfection on the road will shake the console and result in the game to lag & skip. Not to mention the wiring fiasco in order to get a 110/220 volt outlet.
Fast forward to today, the world is on the brink of collapse, there is a never ending apocalypse-like pandemic, I bought an 380hp LS460L for the price of a tin can vehicle, and Sony released the tiny Playstation “Classic” that runs off flash and just 5 watts, so no need to worry about a CD skipping when driving.
Once all plugged in, the colors may be off. It worked for me by having the rocker switch on PAL, and then going into the settings in the back of the Lexus and selecting PAL as well. You can adjust the screen size by the “screen size” button.
Cigarette lighter outlets run off 12v. From my experience most will support 10amps. You'll have about 90-120 watts to play with using a 12v dc to 110v ac inverter.
Tried this about 8 years ago, but on the executive package the RCA are next to the remotes and you don't have any room to put anything without obstructing the closing mechanism. If you like this kind of stuff your better off with a RetroPie so you'll be able to play all games from all system from the PSX era and prior, all that on a much smaller form factor that you can run off 5v USB power without the need of an inverter. All that plus the fact that it have built in composite output so no need to have an HDMI converter. My personal setup was a chromecast hooked to an hdmi converter so people in the backseat could just mirror their phone/tablet and play/listen to anything they wanted without a bunch of wires or consoles spread everywhere.
I did something like this. I can run any composite signal in my with Android auto kit, and I even put the A/V connections in the center console... With a $10 converter, I can run any HDMI device.
It's nice and novelty but, I don't really use it as much as I would like to.
If your interested in what I put in my car, you can read the thread here, I did the same thing as SW17LS did...
Had mine my setup with a fire stick and the hotspot on my phone . Mine had 2 issues
1) ground loop hiss
2) the picture doesn't fill the screen
Fixed the ground loop using a portable battery bank. Still can't get it to fill the screen. Maybe I should try a different adapter.

Whaaat? You don't play while driving? Multitasking, Dave, multitasking!
I use my iPhone mirroring feature to flip thru Google photo albums of vacations and family events. My wife and I have a fairly relaxed daily commute, so we get to enjoy the pictures during the drive.
