Default Finally able to clean the LS up after the rear repair, took some pics

So, we're a little past the 30 days from when my LS was repaired from the guy in the Jeep bumping into me, and I finally was able to do some detailing and get it all cleaned up. Just used some CarPro Reload for now, the car has a 3 year old 22ple HPC Ceramic Coating and a full front SunTek PPF application. My plan is to polish out the doors and roof, and lightly polish the PPF to remove the remaining HPC and then re-coat the whole car with GTechniq Crystal Serum Light and GTechniq EXO since the rear end and roof rails need to be re-coated anyways and the HPC is showing its age.

As you can see, the repair turned out great. Trunk lid is all new, bumper was repaired and refinished, paint was blended into the quarter panels and the whole quarters were re-cleared all the way along the roof rails to the base of the windshield.

Enjoy!

Hi Steve, the car looks gorgeous! Just like new. I suppose your plans for replacing with an S560 are shelved for now...

Thanks!

Yeah the S560 is shelved, just can’t get a deal on one that works for me. I am still considering replacing it with a BMW 750i, I would have to order that and it would take 3 months or so. I’m really torn as I still really love the LS, but I’m at a stage where I need to commit to it long term and buy a warranty or move on to something else. I go back and forth!

Car looks great, reload is awesome, and beautiful silver,

stay away from the 750, get the new s class when its released and pony up the extra cash, that will be an amazing new vehicle in the coming months

I actually really like the 750, believe it or not it’s a very logical replacement for the LS. Not sold
on all the screens on the new S Class.

the new s is in a different class than anything out there, from listening to what's important to you with comfort, serenity and ride quality its the new benchmark.

the new S is a special automobile for people like you and I that appreciate the details and cutting edge technology,

now the 1200/ month lease well, that's something for another conversation.

glad your LS is back to looking great,

They’re way more than $1,200 to lease unfortunately lol. My payment on the LS is $1,200! S Class is more like $1,650-1700. 750 is $1,450.

The 750 is actually really nice riding. You can also option it with an active comfort drive system that uses cameras in front and navigation data to prepare for road irregularities, which I would get.

0-60 in 3.8 seconds too lol

If you can buy new then the German cars are actually a great option given the factory warrantee.

Are you getting bored of the LS?

Boreds not the right word, but I do have the itch for something different. Remember I’ve had two of these, so I’ve had it for going on 6 years.

Like I said, I’m torn. I have a little while before I have to decide (have to buy the VSA before 50k miles)

The car market is so crazy right now that any move seems to be perilous. I'm hoping 2021 brings back the normal supply and demand.

I’d be ordering the 750, and I have a good deal on it with a broker, the crazy car market is one factor making me consider doing it because I can do better on mine than I otherwise might...

The crazy inventory issue is why I haven’t been able
to get a good deal on an S Class, one of those would be from dealer inventory

I love the LS in silver - great job getting it back in brand-new condition. Looks awesome and makes me want to more seriously consider bumping up from my '10.

The new S class interior looks terrible. I would go with the current model.
