I am thrifty and try and buy low mileage used cars. In 2004 I bought my first LS a nice low miles 2001. Not a fully loaded car but it had the ML Stereo.. I traded in a 2000 Mercedes S 430 for the Lexus, It had one accident. A Pontiac shot through a line of left lane stopped cars and the LS cut the car in two. in front of the firewall No injuries in either car
This LS was a very nice car but I didn't like the fact it had a belt in the engine and I wanted a GPS in the car.
I traded it in early 2014 for a 2011 LS 460 RWD a pretty basic car. It was also an unlucky car I was hit in it 6 times (rear ended, sideswiped, driven in to.
I just traded it today on a 15 LS Long :AWD. It has every option and has 45,000 miles. The reason for the trade was I wanted a lot of the new safety features and AWD
We have owned 5 Mercedes, 4 BMWs and nothing has else has ever provided us with the reliable , lower cost ownership experience of an LS

So back to the new car. First off some good news my spare set of '11 rims with almost new snow tires fit the '15. I had to have to have the TPMs changed to work with the 15. Driving the AWD version I feel like I am sitting a bit higher on the road - I am putting the reason that feeling to the newer shaped seats.
Driving home last night there were a lot of deep pools of standing water on the Causeway (not an unusual event) my WRWD 11 would pull a bit in the deeper pools the AWD just motors on through. The heavier, AWD car definitely feels slower when I merge onto the highway. So be it.
The GPS ( never updated , software upgrade on order ) is far better than on my '11 and having had the Mark Levinson on my first LS and not on the prior to the '15 car I am glad to have the better sound system back..
The Bluetooth calling is far easier and sounds much clearer. The four years of LS evolution is noticeable.
One other thing that has impressed me is the fact that the previous owner had installed the Weather Tech winter floor tubs. They are really nice and far better fitting than the Lexus winter mats.

I wouldn't worry about the accident damage, The car kept me safe every time and that is all that is important. The bear dragging the city's Bear Proof trash can down the side of the car and over the trunk was just hilarious. I have legendary status at the Lexus body shop.
