Question Amayama vs Megazip

I get most of my OEM parts off Ebay but sometimes certain parts are not available from my preferred seller. I found two websites specializing in OEM parts for Japanese cars - Amayama and Megazip. I have put my order with Megazip but later I found out that Amayama is actually cheaper. I don't feel it is necessary to cancel order now.

What I want to know is people experience with either or both. I have read Megazip has questionable practices to accept orders but not to have parts in stock. What about Amayama? What was your experience? Please, let me know.

Amayama does the same they'll charge your credit card then later tell you the part is NLA. Of course they refund the charge. I also find Amayama cheaper especially for shipping.

Amayama shows number of parts available. I am not sure how credible that information is. I couldn't find any information regarding availability on Megazip.

Unless Amayama shows specific quantity available (and often shows from more than one location) then it's a roll of the dice. Only way to know is try. One oddity is if you order a part and it ends up being NLA then going forward that part will be listed as permanently out of stock. So why can't they simply check before someone tries to buy? Must be a technical reason.

I have been using Megazip for the last 2 years and have a ton of mostly OEM parts for my 06 SC and my sons 05 SC 430 and have always had wonderful luck with them but thanks for the tip on another source. I have found I can order from Megazip pay shipping from Japan and buy it 30-40 percent cheaper than buying it from a dealership or one of the large Lexus parts places here in the states

I believe, it is you who told me about Megazip. Thanks for the tip! I will have to be patient for 3-4 weeks, even I need the part like yesterday. I guess, my alternative is go to a dealer and pay almost 2x of the price and possibly still wait for some time.

I have front struts coming from a different source. Mine are shot and need to be replaced. It become very apparent since the temperature started dipping below 30F. I was hoping they would last a year or two years more...

Discount Parts Monster might be another choice to consider.

I didn't like how
Amayama requires a box to be checked authorizing them to charge more if needed. Has anyone had them tack a lot on to an order?

Discount parts monster did request another $24 after my order was placed. They also gave
the option to cancel for a refund.

Both were about $1000 cheaper than our local Lexus dealer for a gs450h abs brake module.

I have found Megazip at least 40 percent cheaper than Monster Discounts parts.

Amayama told me that their UAE location was out of a part, do you think I would have the same result with Megazip? As in, do they use the same supplier?

There seems be a big warehouse in UAE providing multiple suppliers with parts. It is my opinion, that the same UAE warehouse provides Megazip, Amayama, Ebay sellers with parts. I had similar experience when an Ebay seller didn't have parts from UAE warehouse, but it seems to be available from Japan.

My experience has always been that the Megizip warehouse in Japan has the part and it is cheaper than the UAE warehouse. Plus today their Black Friday sale started and they are offering 20 percent discount for the next day plus.
