Default 0w-20 or 5w-20 for winter?

Just wondering what you guys recommend for winter, or overall, 0w-20 or 5w20. I usually change my oil every 6-7 months. I live in the northeast where it gets cold, but not usually below 20f. I used 0w-20 this spring and summer.

0W20 will crank faster because it has lower cold viscosity. 0W20 and 5W20 use different base stock viscosities, with the 0W20 having more viscosity modifier in it to thicken when hot. Even a 0W20 is too thick when cold.
