Jacking up car from rear

You need a stronger jack to lift this car reliably. The car weighs 5500 pounds without fuel or cargo/passengers. That's almost 3 tons. I'd suggest a 2.5-3 ton long-reach jack from HF (or an equivalent). Be sure to buy a rubber pad for the cup if your jack doesn't come with one. As others have stated you'll need rubber adapters for the jack stands so you don't crush the pinch weld at the four jacking points on the car. The factory service manual will show you where to place the jackstands and pinch-weld rubber adapters. Anfanger already provided pictures showing where to place the stands earlier in this post. If you look hard at the picture you'll see a little ^ on the body showing you where to center the stand.
