I bought these (FA5786) the last time and they fit and perform like oem. I forgot about these. I just ordered 2 more. I guess I can't say only oem for me anymore. I'm ok with these.

wow what a deal!! So I guess it’s ok to use off brand air filters ??
Just use OE or denso, K&N will allow abrasives into the engine and others are not as flow optimized or protective. The stock LS460 air induction system is already very well designed will not gain much at all from a "better" panel.
I’ve come to the point where I will change out the k & n filters. How’s Fram extra guard ?

Haha don’t be cheap, you own a LS460. I went ahead and spent $120 on k & n because they were so good for my other vehicles. Also I found a waaaaay better air filter by Fram. Supposedly it last 40k miles or 4 years and seems high quality for the price.

being cheap is how I was able to save money to afford the Ls 460 in the first place
I am prob one of the most frugal people you’ll ever meet, hence why I try to DIY on the car maintenance.
anyway, if someone else has used the $8.5 engine filters and haven’t noticed a diff, I’m all for it
