Tinted corner of amber on headlights. Thoughts? I can always pull it off...lol
Difficult to say about the tint without seeing it in person. The color looks good (not too dark), however, that slight overlap and the top part not going all of the way to the edge of the headlight would bother me. With my ride being black and the chrome trim wrapped black, I thought about putting lite tint on the headlight and fogs, but have decided against because no matter how good of a job is done, it's gonna look wonky and.....I dunno the proper term I'm looking for. LOL
All good! Actually that's a great idea and I've thought about trying to do something like this. I'm going to dive in a little more on this and see what I can do

That's great to hear. I'm glad I could help!!! Appreciate it. I've had my data controller since about 2012..the wire harness had a short but most likely due to moving it around too much and those wires are super fragile

Those wheels have long been a favorite of mine, The below is riding on 20s, not sure of tire sizes, but it's in the wheel thread somewhere and I have a feeling you've already seen it. I take it you're on stock, non-air suspension? I think they're going to look great, however, you may get a slight variance in your speedo reading. But such a small price to have nice wheels and a smooth ride you're satisfied with. Looking forward to when you get those bad boys on, gonna change the look of your ride big time!

Thx Taran, The Work Schwerts I acquired are 21" size, but as you can see in my previous posts, mission accomplished on debating the 29" total diameter with a 255/40/21 and not lowering with coilovers. (NO air suspension either) Will post pics after xmas once the tires and tpms arrive.
You mentioned stock size to be 255/50/18 several times. The stock tire size should be 235/50/18.
This should put 21 tire size as 245/35/21 to get the closest overall diameter match.
Hi Dungut. I understand you pointing out the manufacturers OEM size, however the maximum size tire you can fit on a Ls460 on the 18x7.5 +32 oem rim is 255/50/18 (What I have on and pictured)
The issue with a 245/35/21 is the overall diameter comes up short of the 28" of the 255/50/18 setup, (Comes out to 27.8") thus creating even more gap than stock from the fenders. The new 21's will be an overall diameter of 29" closing the fender gap by 1/2 inch more than the stock pictured setup using 255/50/18.
They can work, after confirmation of another members photos of his 22" wheels having a 29" overall diameter without lowering the car. these are 22 inch wheels on a 255/35/22 with no suspension modification from stock (Stock height with overall diameter at 29")

Welp - definitely raised the car up a little, but the ride quality is pretty darn good after road testing. No Rubbing at all, even at full turns or over dips/bumps. Stock Suspension (no Air) 21x9 et+28 Work Schwert SC2 Wheels wrapped with 255/40/ZR21 Lexani LX Twenty UHP All Season Tires.
Will have to order the correct valve stems however as stock or the aftermarket tpms i ordered will not work with these wheels. (See images) The avn stems pictured allow u to retrofit a tpms sensor that has the screw that connects the valve stem, and these chrome extensions have a mount there to do so.
Rears are a bit tucked in , and the lug nuts stick out a bit. Anyone have a suggestion for how much I should space them out for a more flush look, and Lugs that will fit more inside like the fronts? These Work wheels have a small hole, not sure if they require a special nut or ....
Alternatively I can go with a 295/ or 285 35 21 in the rear, but really wanted to keep the ride on 40 series for comfort.
The issue with the lug nuts is due to the disk height for front rim BBK clearance, Hi or R disk likely.
Rear wheels are sunken due to the narrow with and non staggered offsets on square width rims. A 5mm may help but 295 or 285 on a 9” is way too wide. I run 285/35/20 on a 10.5, 255/40/20 on a 9.5 rim.
At the same position and also looking at 255/40/21 for the front. I have however air and a front ET of 32, however I hope it will fit.
For the rear different story 10,5J and ET36. I was hoping for a 285/35/21 tire in the back OR a 295/35/21...
Having air isnt a bad thing, if you invest in the prestigious society controller everyone here raves about...gives you a lot more control over height adjustments.
As for your fronts, if 21x9 +32, 255/40/21 (29inch diameter and 10 inches wide) you will be fine. U can also go with 245/40/21 (28.7 inch diameter and 9.6" wide) since u do have air, and would be my advice. ( i didn't have that option without air to close the gap)
If you go with the 245/40/21 id pair the rears with 285/35/21 granting 28.9" diameter, 11.2" wide, with your higher offset itll look sweet

What difference in dash cluster and pickup of the car have you noticed as compared to the oem setup? I`m very curious if you can make the "same" ( aggressive, spirit driving) maneuvers as the oem setup. Devils advocate...why not 265/40/21? they wouldn't rub on air or stock suspension and more rubber

The ride quality on the stock oem 18" setup id give a 9/10 - extremely quiet with hardly any road noise on the Michelin AS3, body roll is normal and expected of a car this size without suspension modifications, speedo on the 18x255/50 setup made the speedo 4.5 mph slower.
The ride quality on the 21" setup id give a 7/10 - relatively quiet (much of the noise on the road is due to the tire quality with Lexani) - Body roll is the same obviously with the downside being a slight rub if making a fast maneuver on the inner well up front, rears have no rub at all with passengers. 99.9% no rub if just me in the car. Speedo is 4mph faster.
The one annoying thing I noticed with the directional/asymmetrical tire with Lexani is how they pull on grooved road surfaces, giving the vehicle the feeling of high winds or *Tugging* as the tires track on those grooves, otherwise fine if the road surface is smoother.
265/40/21 will not fit on stock suspension...up front anyway, rears can handle a hair more height but with more width they will sit out right under the fender lip, and def rub with full passengers. (From what I can see)
This test was more for fitment issues, and the next go around I will more than likely change the tire setup to 245/40/21 front and 275/35/21 rear, as Lexani tires are asymmetrical anyway and rotating them seems senseless with the Work SC2's having a visible (Same ET of +29 tho) wider lip in the rear. So... Id have to unmount all 4 tires and change them out to rotate which at a cost of $100-$150 (IF mobile) doesn't add up in tread longevity vs money spent. Will probably go with Delinte DS8's or Accelera St68's the next time around as I believe they have those sizes (Lexani does not have a 275/35/21) - From what I have seen/experienced this will fully eliminate any rubbing at all, and give a slightly more proportioned and rear filled look.
