Just got my car back from the paint shop for my front bumper.

-My passenger light is stuck on high beam if I engage it and the solenoid won’t release until the light is off for like 20 seconds.
-My driver lamp DRL is dim and will not go into day mode where it is bright.
-Driver lamp turn signal will not engage, nor will highbeam.
-Momentary left turn signal is fast blinking as if there is little resistance in the wiring and it won’t turn off unless I put the stalk into the other position.
-Upon locking the car the left turn front signal in the headlamp won’t flash.

My guess is that there is water in the fog light harness or parking sensor harness. Or a pinch wire somewhere. Or that the fog light harness is flipped somehow?

Can anyone take a guess? I really need help before the holidays.

 

First question is, was the bumper damaged in a wreck before it went to the paint shop?

 

Nope. Brand new f sport bumper. Old bumper had major scrape and minor bend from prior owner that hit a parking pole at low speed. but it’s driven that way for like 3 years. Problem started after getting the car back after all the paint work was done.

 

Unless they damaged my turn signal stalk which I highly doubt. It all seems to engage just fine. Left turn signal turns on the passenger high beam only and it’s stuck on.

 

Was everything working perfectly when you drove the car out of the paint shop? If it wasn't, you should have insisted that they troubleshoot and ensure that everything worked properly before paying for the job. If the lights were working properly after the repairs, maybe the new bumper has shifted a bit and messed up some wiring as you suggest. Good luck.

 

When removing the front bumper cover, the fog lights (1 plug each fog light) and parking sensors harness (1 plug) must be disconnected, but none of the high, DRL, low, parking or turn lights need to be disconnected or touched. It seems like maybe one of the fogs is connected wrong or shorted and that may be somehow impacting other lights etc.
