then it's asks me option? -1209 etc...
What option do I choose for an 2008 LS460L is this vehicle specific?
Thanks

Honestly it's been so long since I installed it that I can't visualize what your talking about. I'm thinking 1209 is the build date of the car( 12-Dec, 09-2009) which you can find in your door jamb on one of the stickers.

Normally for both versions of techstream I have the selections auto fill including the vin. The only one with any choices is "option"
Which I select other.
When your all hooked up and press "connect"
Is your vin loading on its own?(it should)
Sounds like something may be wrong with your software install.

NO everything works except being able to customize.
I even downloaded and installed a crack'd VERSION 10 of the software and it works loads up able to get a health check etc, I am able to open the customizing menu but then when I click on one of the door locks security etc the loading bar goes 2 out of 10 and then just stops. I even waiting for awhile to see if it took time to load.
Anyone have any suggestions?
Thanks

Cheap cables here too. Running v12 on windows 7. Second is windows xp and V14 i think. I haven't found any limitations with either. I've found using a usb extension cable and keeping the laptop usb wiring from being bumped helps them be less buggy.

I wonder if it's a Windows 10 problem.
I have been in contact with someone here locally that is a computer guy about buying an old laptop with Windows XP on it.
Do you think this would help?
Thanks

This is one of the software's I will build a machine and once it's stable, back it up and never update. (it's never used for anything else besides this), I don't want a update breaking it.
It MIGHT help. If you have access to one cheap, Why not try it ?

Thanks for your reply
I have been in contact with a computer guy here in Fresno who said he can either install windows XP on my new laptop or sell me an old laptop that has windows xp on it for $80.
I just like my new laptop cheap plastic 15" display so it's easy and light to move around. This will only be used like your saying for modd'n my car.
