Hello I need your help I want to buy a 2014 and up Lexus ls460...what should I look out for that would go bad and cost $$$$
I don’t really care about all the options I just love the body. style also is there a difference between the facelift 2013 and up ???
coming from a 2010 Lexus gs350 AWD with 45000 miles.. love the car but I want something more mondern and this is something I’ll keep for the years to come only had the gs350 for only a few months... btw the gs350 is trouble free but I just want the big body ls.. I’m an old fart that want the smooth ride..
less option less issue.. plus we all know we don’t use all that options on a daily basis..
Please help me out or where I can find one with low miles (website etc)
.. or if someone is selling
silver exterior
Black interior./!
many thanks ..!!

Though LS460 is a more less reliable car, but some parts do fail. Parts prices and replacement cost are very high. For instance, control arms and air suspension can fail at early millage. Both are not cheap to replace. I would say, if you want carefree, get LS with warranty.

I read on this forum, that some credit unions provide car warranty. Also, there is a warranty provided by Lexus. Just make sure it is actually Lexus warranty and not 3rd party warranty sold by Lexus.

try to research further and disregards some comments that may influence passing on a car that's phenomenal
as example the 19 vs 18 wheel size, the Duluth Georgia car with Pirellis' Steve put on with air suspension will drive better than any 18 inch with standard suspension.
if your particular as it seems with your purchase, pick a cpo car from a dealer, and have it checked for the paint being not pained on any panels.
this way you get the spec you want, the color, and the warranty with cpo.
good luck in search

the reason I’m asking all these is cause back in the days I was looking for a 2006 Lexus gs300 after reading all the information on the forums I discover many issue especially with first year model cars... that’s why I want 2014 and up..but I guess your right I should test drive one with air and without and see what I prefer ...this is a daily driver and I do like 75 miles city per day (door dash driver)so I want something very comfortable
thanks for your reply..

i don’t want to sound stupid but what is credit union like finance a car...... I only use cash to pay for all my cars.... that’s why I always brought from private seller... if I buy from a dealership non Lexus would I be able to get a Lexus warranty....
I never searched CPo cars before but I guess I’ll try but I know from past there like $10000 more asking price...(stealership)
thanks for the reply..!

I shared it with you because I have seen people on this forum been satisfied with a credit union warranty. It is your call to insure or not insure your car. And what kind of insurance you want to get.

get a 2015-17 based on your budget with air suspension and a warranty... doesn't have to be cpo
I bought a 2010 in 2019 and bought a 4 year 36 k warranty for 3400
buy at least a 2 year lexus platinum warranty from dealer to cover the air suspension in future
good luck
