LS600hL mods?
If this were a radio show, I'd be calling in saying "first time, long time."
I started off in 2014 with a 1999 Lexus GS400 and I was instantly addicted. I've since had a 2011 GS450H, 2015 GS350, 2005 GX470 and I'm currently rocking a 2000 RX300 (AWD w/ the rear limited slip differential and tow package) and a 2013 LS600hL. I also have a 1986 Toyota Celica GT-S and a 2017 Fiat 124 Spider, five and six speed manual respectively. I know the Fiat is weird. I was going back and forth between that and an 86 and somehow I picked the Fiat. I'm actually selling it tomorrow. I don't need four cars and I really feel guilty every time I hop in it like I'm cheating on Toyota. ANYWAY.
Why I'm starting this thread. I love my LS. I mean I absolutely love my LS, and it's not my first hybrid by Lexus either! They really hooked me after the GS450h. I've had the LS600hL for about a year now but I've been itching to do anything to it because it isn't just the 4.6, but the 5.0! My LS is so silent but I know what an amazing motor is tucked under all that plastic. So I've ordered Tom's air filters, the F-Sport intake mod and exhaust vents (I'm double stacking). I'm really excited and I just wanted to post that here. I'm going to try and take some videos and I'll post them here asap. I'm sure some people will get upset and possibly offer their two cents about how it's a hybrid, it's an LS, it's supposed to be quiet... well I don't know you. I have the same V8 (ish) as the LC, the ISF, RCF, GSF... why can't I just hear it a little bit? I'm not going straight pipes or a cat delete. Did I consider trying to see if the 5.0 headers for the F cars would fit?? Yes! I considered it.. but even I can acknowledge that would be a bit much for the LS. Also, I'm frightened of electricity and those Hybrid wires run everywhere.
Anyhow, does anyone else have any experience with mods, especially intake or exhaust, on the 600hL? I know its gonna sound a little weird because the hybrid and CVT, but I'm used to it and I (keyword: I) like it. I had a full cat-back on my GS450h and electric cut-outs. She was... loud.. and hybrid.. and CVT... but man did she scoot and sing. (see below)
It's not for everyone.

The 460 is an amazing vehicle, but the 600 is like a 460 with sprinkles. I in love with mine also and think it's underated a vehicle.
I've added red bullet vvti exhuast selonoids which i was honestly surpised made a difference. The car revs faster and the acceleration lag seemed to be reduced.
Another thing I typically do is make my own E30 fuel. The isf guys have been doing it for a while but mixing 15 gallons of 93 + ~5-6 gallons of e85 gets you e30 with an octane of 96. It burns claener, it's a little cheaper and supposedly gives a little more power even without a tune bc of the computer advancing timing.
