Hi guys, I’m replacing clock spring on my 2014 LS460 and I can’t seem to find what this reconnects to.
in the photo it is the connector between my index and middle finger. I have made all connections but I do not see anything for this piece. Could it be an “extra”?
It's been a while, but I definitely don't recall anything out of the ordinary not being reconnected or standing out. The pics between yours and mine show some differences, but the main point is that all plugs coming out from the clock spring should connect to the steering wheel in order for there to be proper rotation and electrical connections to the steering wheel controls. Are the wires you're grasping from within/underneath the steering column? If so, then it's similar to the white plug in my photos. That plug is taped so short to the other wire bundles that it's not really able to connect to anything else. I haven't had any codes, warning lights, or issues.

Same photo, different orientations:
Exactly from within the steering column/under steering shaft. All connections are made to the clock spring and to the steering wheel. Then this happened.. this red wire came off 🤬idk where this crap goes
Thank you guys! I have the wheel and everything connected. Drove around locally lol for about 20 min, no issues with any sensors. Just need a wheel alignment..steering wheel sits slightly to the left(maybe didn’t align it properly on steering shaft)
btw that white connector is an “extra”
As for the red wire, I did not find where it connects to
